Jeonghwan Jeon is a Master’s student in the Department of Political Science. His primary research lies in modern political thought, with a particular focus on examining the critical reflections on liberalism through the philosophical lenses of G.W.F. Hegel and Carl Schmitt, among others. His secondary academic interests encompass international political thought and comparative political thought.
Currently, Jeonghwan is actively affiliated with both the Theoretical Foundation of Welfare-State Lab and the Maritime Order & Issues Lab. In an effort to synthesize the distinct research focuses of these two labs, he is conducting a comparative study of Hugo Grotius and Carl Schmitt.
